Madeleine is a flexible fit due to her very stretchy waistband. If in doubt, size down. She can accommodate a size up on the hip. Length from waist to hem is approximately 75cm.

This is a silky satin with a beautiful weight to it, 100% viscose, lined with 100% light cotton voile.
Wash at 30°C with similar colours. Hang dry and iron on the coolest setting. Don't tumble dry or dry clean.

My 11th (I think!) Shortlist piece, but my 1st midi skirt, Gorgeous colour and fabric and I've loved wewring her as the summer turns (not so slowly up here) into autumn. I bought Madeleine in the sale so she was a bargain to boot!
I’m so glad I made this purchase. The colour and material is lovely. I wore it on Saturday for a party and it was perfect. I can also see myself wearing it in a less formal setting.
I already have this in the Garden colour option. Was delighted to get the Teal version in the recent sale. I think I might love it more! Such a beautiful and versatile piece which looks and feels super luxurious.
"Madeleine in Teal is the best Shortlist midi skirt I've owned! I still love and wear my other Shortlist skirts (cost per wear on the plain black from AW22 is particularly good!), but the natural viscose on this one makes her a standout. She's incredibly light and comfortable, even in hot, humid weather. I wore her on holiday last week and stayed beautifully cool - no horrible sweaty legs here! She also handled travel beautifully, with only a few creases that quickly disappeared.
As an extra petite 4ft 10, the length is a little longer on me, which I actually prefer, but if you wanted a shorter fit, you can easily roll the waistband without affecting the look or shape.
I really love and appreciate the way that Laura iterates on her pieces and incorporates customer feedback. As I'm writing this review, there are still a few pieces left at an insane sale price. If you’re on the fence about Madeleine, you won't regret taking the plunge. Now, how many paydays until the AW25 launch!!!
ps. I've added a photo but it really doesn't do justice to the teal colour. In reality, it's a much more vibrant colour than it appears here. Not garish at all, but definitely brighter than she looks here.
As a long-standing fan of the mid-length skirts from previous collections, purchasing Madeleine in teal was a no-brainer. The colour is absolutely stunning, and even on a curvy figure, it fits beautifully. It has brightened up my wardrobe in the best way!
